“2021 has been a difficult year. Covid lockdowns, pressure at work, lack of sleep, anxiety and a never ending news cycle of doom and gloom from around the world became the new daily norm. In the Summer, my body and brain both let me know they'd had enough and I was signed off work with mental burnout and a panic disorder.
Having used the time off to build some better exercise habits and get some help, it wasn't until I started working with Amanda at CHPTR that I started to see and feel real results. Amanda took the time to properly understand the issues I was going through, my future goals and put together a personalised programme that over the course of each week gave me a full body workout alongside cardio sessions that has left me feeling like a new person.
I used to see exercise as a chore, but thanks to Amanda, I now genuinely look forward to pushing myself with each session. The focus required during each workout helps my mind switch off from any feelings of stress and anxiety I may have been feeling and gives my mind a rest, but my body the complete opposite - a fun, challenging and rewarding workout which leaves me with a sense of mental clarity and feeling of achievement every time.
Given the programme has only lasted a couple of months, the changes I have experienced are pretty incredible - massively improved sleep, much better focus throughout the day and noticeable changes in endurance and muscle definition.
Amanda is super knowledgeable, friendly and always on hand to help explain or adapt any part of the programme you are struggling with. The weekly checks-ins and feedback have helped ensure the programme is constantly updated to keep it both fun and manageable, but super challenging.
I honestly can't recommend Amanda highly enough. From someone who never really worked out and has never used weights, I've now developed a super positive attitude towards both and Amanda has helped ensure a proper habit has developed. Never thought it would be possible but I've now caught the workout bug big time and can't wait to get on the mat and get the weights out.
For anyone struggling with mental health issues, sleep problems or a lack of motivation to exercise, I would suggest using the start of a new year to work with Amanda and develop a personalised plan. You won't believe the difference it will make and I know Amanda will also be totally buzzing to see the changes in you.”

“This has been a tough but manageable program designed to do exactly what it has successfully done; improve fitness, technique and wake up the smaller muscles that I didn't know existed.
I had to learn very quickly to drop a bad habit I'd picked up from past gyms and trainers, who dogmatically put more weight on the bar - I learned I HAD to drop the weight, so we could focus on a slower tempo, improve technical ability and strength.
Amanda picked and placed very effective exercises and I could tell the placement was intentional so it would feel very manageable even though it was a real challenge. I have improved a huge amount technically, in strength and fitness.

I was lucky enough to stumble across Amanda's PT account on Instagram a few months ago. I was looking for a PT that focussed on inclusivity and with a strength training focus and Amanda instantly gave me a good impression.
